The Disembodied Voice Poem

1. Imagine your life or your self (or some part of your self—your name, for example) as some tangible thing (something other than a human being).

2. Try to narrate or describe the activities that you would do if you were that thing. Try to narrate the details of your new self or new part of yourself from the perspective of your old body.

3. Draw some conclusions from your depiction of your self or your life as this thing. Your depiction of your self as this thing should say something about who you are today or what kind of person you really are today. Or it might make some sort of comentary on something larger, such as humanity as a whole
